It is made of SECC steel and ABS plastic and has room for 330 mm / 13-inch video cards

Xigmatek likes to name its products after the gods from various Pantheons, as well as mythical places. The Elysium is the flagship super-tower, as the company sometimes calls it, and now we get to welcome the one that stands just below it in the hierarchy.

Called Odin, after the Norse chief God, Allfather and ruler of Asgard. He rules over such domains as war, battle, victory and death, wisdom, Shamanism, magic, poetry, prophecy, and the hunt.

Those are a lot of portfolios, although, granted, he often shares his responsibilities with his many sons. But we digress.

The newest case from Xigmatek, called Odin, is one that has enough space within for E-ATX motherboards, which is about as large as motherboards can get, not counting XL-ATX which is longer, to accommodate extra PCI Expansion slots.

Altogether, the Xigmatek Odin measures 580 mm x 205 mm x 495 mm (L x H x W), which is around the same as 22.83 x 8.07 x 19.48 inches.

Thus, in addition to E-ATX motherboards, it has room for graphics cards, or other add-in-boards, with length of up to 330 mm / 12.99 inches. And that's without actually having to uninstall any drive cages.

Speaking of drives, there is room for seven 3.5-inch hard disk drives (HDDs), solid-state drives (SSDs) and hybrid hard disk drives (HHDs), or solid-state hybrid drives as some other call them (SSHDs).

There are mounting holes for 2.5-inch drives as well, so that you can install smaller storage devices if you are so inclined.

Moving on, there are three 5.25-inch bays, which is actually a small number for a high-end, mid-tower chassis (and it is a mid-tower, not full tower apparently). Then again, the company did favor internal storage over external, and even included a hidden HDD cage, which is somewhat protected from the vibration produced by the other HDDs.

As for ventilation, there is a front fan, for intake, with a diameter of 140 mm, as well as a 120 mm rear spinner for exhaust.

Finally, there is a front input/output panel, like on every desktop PC case in existence. It provides a pair of USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 connectors (backwards compatible with USB 1.1) and HDA jacks (high-definition audio). Unfortunately, the price is still deeply shrouded in mystery, so we can only hope it won't be a deal breaker when Xigmatek finally allows retailers to list the Odin on their websites.
