First of all, this is what you should know about the game: all the artwork included in it is hand-made! Well, now, this is something, isn't it? Indeed it is and it will be available in Odin Sphere starting with early 2008, exclusively on PlayStation 3 systems.

Odin Sphere's world is a fantasy one that interlaces five different characters in a tale of power, loss and, of course, love. The game is an action RPG, with a highly developed alchemy system that allows the player to combine the spoils of war and create rare items or gain additional bonuses.

President and chief executive officer of Square Enix, says: "Odin Sphere embodies the commitment of Square Enix in bringing new experiences to European gamers. The wonderfully crafted Odin Sphere is the best possible start to an exciting new period for the company"

In Odin Sphere, the game world is Erion - a place where war was always ready to emerge, but a reason for that was needed. The perfect reason comes when an ancient artifact appears in the country of Valentine and the fairies of Rongfort start to fight against the warriors of Ragnanival. What they are not aware of is a prophecy that might have an apocalyptic impact on the world, strongly connected to the artifact. The player will control the warrior princess Gwendolyn, daughter of Odin, trying to solve this mistery.

The game comes packed with a lot of features such as hand drawn artwork and animations, intense side-scrolling action with different attacks and huge magic effects, a dialogue that enhances the drama of the story, five fully playable characters who will eventually cross paths, an advanced system of alchemy and cooking that allows the creation of attack and recovery items and the in-game text fully localised into English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
