Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD will be launched in Europe on December 21 and gamers will be able to get it on the PlayStation Network for 9.99 Euro or 9.99 British Pounds (13.36 dollars).

Stewart Gilray, who is the leader of the Jaw development team, said on the European PlayStation Blog that, “I wanted to first thank you all for your patience, it's been a long wait I guess, but at the same time it's been even longer for us.”

It seems that the team has been working on the remake of the cult hit Oddworld for about 15 months.

They are planning to add such features as support for three-dimensional gaming and for the PlayStation Move motion-tracking system.

There are other surprises the developers are planning to add to Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD in the months after the original launch date, along with some extra content.

No North American launch date has yet been confirmed.
