There are two things that you can't cheat in this life: death and the tax man. Apparently, no one told that to Nadya Octomom Suleman, who has just been charged with three felony counts on welfare fraud.

Radar reported first about the shady financial records being kept by the single mother of fourteen children. It has now transpired that Suleman lied about the amount of money she made in 2012 in order to qualify for welfare.

According to the site, she declared an income of $119,000 (€87,078) for 2012, when in reality she pocketed closer to $150,000 (€109,762).

The Los Angeles County District Attorney has charged Suleman with two counts of perjury by false application and one count of aid by misrepresentation. All of the charges put together could see the single mother go to jail for a maximum of six years.

Suleman has not been arrested despite being charged, but she has been ordered to appear before a Los Angeles County judge on Friday, January 17. Because of the nature of her charges, she is looking at a hefty $25,000 (€18,293) bail bond.

The 37-year-old mother of fourteen is still raking in cash from her adult film, as well as from her numerous appearances in the media (interviews, image deals and commercial appearances). In addition, she has also been stripping at a Florida club for the better part of 2013.

The welfare Suleman collected was in the form of food stamps and she says it was used to feed her fourteen children. Apart from her famous octuplets birth, she has six other young children.

Back in May of 2013, she tried to file for bankruptcy, but the case was dismissed from court over a fault with the paperwork. She is said to have received public assistance from the authorities in Lancaster, California last year, though she failed to report an additional $30,000 (€21,952) from her earnings.
