We reported about a week ago that Panasonic planned to launch another Android smartphone in India, the P81. The P series of smartphones is pretty popular in India, which is one of the main reasons that Panasonic did not withdraw from this market even though it confirmed last year that it wouldn’t be making smartphones anymore.

Well, the next smartphone in the P series will not be just another mid-range Android device, as Panasonic seems to be planning something special for its fans.

The P81 benefits from a market campaign unprecedented for a Panasonic phone launched in India, which is why we believe that the handset might be the company’s flagship smartphone.

After teasing the P81 last week, when we reported that the smartphone might come with exchangeable covers, Panasonic is back with yet another two teasers that point to a really powerful device.

As fonearena points out, the first teaser is very explicit when it comes to the processor powering the Panasonic P81, while the second highlights some of the most important features without revealing specific details on the phone’s hardware and software configuration.

One thing is certain though and that’s the fact that Panasonic P81 will be equipped with an octa-core processor and that it will be officially unveiled later this month. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
