The development team at Obsidian Entertainment offers its first official update about its role-playing game Project Eternity after the Kickstarter based crowdfunding for the concept has ended, telling fans what the team is currently working on.

The game is in pre-production at the moment, but the team is already very busy, trying to handle both the game world, which will be balanced between the size seen in the first and second Baldur’s Gate titles, and the lore, which is getting a structure and is being woven into the actual story.

Obsidian is also working on the look of Project Eternity, trying to determine the ideal balance between the content that is generated by the engine and the work done by the artists themselves.

Project Eternity is a party-based role-playing game that will use the mechanics of old titles in the genre, from Baldur’s Gate to Temple of Elemental Evil.

Fans can also access a YouTube video of a Dungeons & Dragons session that Obsidian held last week.
