This week, designs were finished for the drake and spear spider

After offering a huge batch of information on crafting and its impact on Project Eternity, the team at Obsidian working on the game switches gears in order to talk about the way the creatures that will appear in the role-playing game are created.

The team has posted an interview with Polina Hristova, a concept artist, revealing the way a monster moves from the concept stage to becoming a virtual presence that will scare or challenge the player.

The developer states, “This week I wrapped finished up some critters: the drake and the spear spider.”

She also says that, at the moment, the drake is her favorite creature in Project Eternity, even if she loves all the content that Obsidian is creating for the title.

Polina Hristova has previously worked on Uncharted 2, PlayStation Move Heroes and other unannounced titles and says that her favorite title is Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Project Eternity is set to launch in 2014.
