An obese, 26-year old man from North East China literally dropped dead after an online gaming marathon carried out over the Lunar Year holiday. Weighing nearly 150 kilograms, he collapsed after playing non-stop online computer games, on Saturday, Feb 24th, ironically, the last day of the seven-day holiday. This was confirmed to Reuters
by the addicted gamer's parents.

A local teacher going by the name of Xu Yan stated there were only two options a person could opt for: the TV or the computer, because every shop or mall or cafeteria is closed. Now, I might be off the topic here, but is it necessary for a teacher to come forward and say that the only two options for a person during holidays are the TV and the PC? And let's say he's right, but I still don't buy it because some actually like outdoor activities like playing sports.

Why do we need sports when we have the Internet? Out of the 20 million Internet users in China under 18 years of age, nearly 2.6 million could be classified as "addicts," state media reports. Now, this is something they can blame the parents for. Why did they let him get that fat in the first place? Nobody seems to have thought that maybe a vicious circle, started by his abnormal weight, might be the reason for his computer addiction that resulted in fatality.
