YouTube and the White House's recent initiative to have US President Barack Obama answer questions from every day people in a live interview on YouTube. People have been able to ask their questions, over YouTube of course, for the past week and the most interesting and relevant ones have already been chosen.

The President will have to answer all those questions in front of everyone watching on the site.

This being YouTube of course, you will be able to watch the interview later, at your convenience, since it will be made available on the site after it's over.

But the interview is only half the story, President Obama will also be joining several of the people that asked the most pertinent questions for a live chat via Google's own Google+ platform.

Google has held Hangouts with celebrities and political figures before and it's a great use of the group video chat feature. Even though it's only limited to 10 participants, it does create the opportunity for anyone to enjoy a face-to-face, or webcam-to-webcam, conversation with people like Obama.

"This afternoon at 2:30 p.m. PT (5:30 pm ET), President Obama will head to the Roosevelt Room of the White House to connect face-to-face with people across America over a live Google+ Hangout. This first-ever virtual interview will be streamed live on the White House YouTube Channel so you’ll have a front row seat," YouTube announced.

The interview sparked a lot of interest, over 225,000 people have gotten involved, either recorded their questions for the president and directed them to the White House YouTube channel, or have voted on the questions and issues they wanted discussed the most. Now that the most interesting ones have been chosen, expect to hear them in a few hours.
