The media is working with the President in keeping the truth from the public

TMZ paparazzi caught up with Korn rocker Jonathan Davis at the airport and asked him about the message behind the band’s most recent video, “Spikes in My Veins.” Both the official music video and Davis’ response are embedded in this blog post.

Speaking of the visual companion to the single, Davis says that US President Barack Obama is using celebrities – and particularly celebrity scandals – to “distract” from much bigger and definitely more important issues.

“I think that our government uses [celebrities] to distract from what’s really going on,” he explains. This is why he had clips of Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Kanye West in the “Spikes in My Veins” videos, mixed with footage of violent protests and political rallies.

Davis even offers an example how said “distraction” works, mentioning Miley Cyrus’ much mediated and offensive (according to many) performance at the MTV Video Music Awards 2013. Obama and the media are hand in hand, working to the disadvantage of the American people, he says.

“When that went down, Barack Obama passed a law that made him basically a dictator… he can imprison whoever he wants,” the rocker says. Check it out!
