The parents of Trayvon Martin have responded to a statement issued by President Barack Obama about their son's case.

As I mentioned before, his murder trial and the acquittal of shooter George Zimmerman have become subject to public debate about racism and racial profiling.

President Obama has previously issued a statement saying how he sees himself in Martin. He even said that it could have been him in the hoodie.

“The President’s comments give us great strength at this time. We are thankful for President Obama’s and Michelle’s prayers, and we ask for your prayers as well as we continue to move forward,” Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton have stated.

According to the Blaze, the family have started the Trayvon Martin Foundation representing victims of social injustice and senseless crimes.
