Politics and video game rarely mix in fun ways, but the developers at Trendy Entertainment who have created Dungeon Defenders have chosen to launch a new piece of downloadable content which introduces presidents and candidates to the ring and allows them to fight for the right to stay in the game.

In order to celebrate the one million download mark, the game is getting the President’s Day: Battle Royal event, which players need to beat by defeating a Demons Boss in order to get access to a new set of rewards.

The new content introduces 2 unlockable pets, a donkey for Democrats and an elephant for Republicans, 2 unique weapons, boxing gloves in the Squire and Monk variety, and 4 unlockable outfits for the character classes.

Monk characters get to become President Obama, Squires can become Republican front-runner Mitt Romney, Huntresses turn into Michelle Obama and George Washington will be the new look for Apprentices.
