Oasis member Noel Gallagher confessed that sometimes doesn't even understand the lyrics from his songs.
"I get the odd night when I'm halfway through Don't Look Back In Anger when I say to myself, 'I still don't know what these words mean!'" Gallagher is quoted by Contactmusic.com as saying.
"I'm thinking, what the ...what the... 'Stand up beside the fireplace'. Why?
"And all these kids will be singing it at the top of their voices with all their arms around each other and I kind of feel like stopping and going, 'Look, can somebody help me out here? Am I missing something?'"
Noel Gallagher, born May 29, 1967 in Manchester, is the lead songwriter and guitarist with the British rock band Oasis. He is the older brother of Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher and the two are famous for their arguments.
The two brothers combined catchy melodies, wall-of-sound guitar, mod-style fashion and an arrogant swagger to attract the attention of the press in 1994.
The band's behaviour both on and off the stage made them tabloid newspaper staples, with frequent reports of heavy drinking, drug abuse and violent confrontations appearing regularly in the press.
Since the band's rise to prominence, the band's line-up has changed frequently, with the Gallagher brothers remaining the only constant.
