As African nations become more and more concerned about cyber security, they attract the interest of international organizations. A perfect example is the fact that the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is set to launch a new chapter in Ghana next month.
On September 5-6, as part of the launch, OWASP Ghana will host its first cyber security summit.
Executives, policy makers, managers, analysts, technical readers, engineers and even students are expected to attend, according to a statement provided by OWASP Ghana to the Ghana News Agency.
The “Ghana CyberSecurity” 2013 Summit will include an exhibition hall, competitions and hands-on training.
OWASP Ghana representatives say the new chapter marks a milestone in information and communications technology in developing countries.
