OUYA has just made available a new firmware package developed for its gaming console, namely version 1.2.1018, which consists of a hotfix targeted at the previous Chupacabra update (OUYA Game Console Firmware 1.2.995).

This fresh update modifies sideloaded games, which now say “(U) Launch” instead of “(U) Free Download,” adds the ability to navigate through screenshots using the left and right buttons, and resolves an issue regarding recommended games that weren’t displayed in the launcher.

In addition to that, firmware 1.2.1018 fixes the problem with external drives that displayed less available space than they had and the one encountered after downloading to external storage where the game title was occasionally displayed as “NULL.”

Moreover, the BUY button now disappears after gamers redeem a voucher, the developer pages don’t show a blank Twitter handle anymore, and several other small fixes and optimizations are included in the present release.

When it comes to applying this version, make sure you perform this step in a steady power environment, such as the one ensured by a UPS unit, so that no related problems are encountered. If the device suffers an update failure, this event might cause it to malfunction.

That being said, download OUYA Game Console Firmware 1.2.1018 Chupacabra Hotfix, take into account all aforementioned aspects, apply the new version, and enjoy your newly-updated gaming console.
