Windows Alternative, OS4 OpenDesktop 13.1, Has XFCE 4.10

OS4, a custom Linux distribution compatible with Ubuntu and Debian Linux that aims for ease of use and user friendliness, has just reached version 13.1.

The goal of OS4 is to offer users a Linux alternative to Windows and Mac OS that is just as simple and ready to use as its counterparts.

Highlights of OS4 OpenDesktop 13.1:

• OS4 Kernel has been updated to 3.2.0-33 and the OS4 Kernel 3.5 can be found in the official repository;
• The XFCE desktop environment has been updated to 4.10. Thunar was also updated to version 1.5.3;
• A new deskbar interface, enhanced icon set, and window manager theme have been implemented;
• The OS4 visual Subsystem was updated to version 4.0.1;
• Google Chrome has been updated to version 23.
