OS4, a custom Linux distribution based on Ubuntu that aims for ease of use and user friendliness and that falls into the line of what is called "simplified computing," is now at version 12.1.1.

OS4 12.1.1 is now available for both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms and it includes a large number of security and bug fixes, not to mention quite a few updated applications.

Among the most important updates in OS4 12.1.1, we can mention Linux kernel 3.0.0-19, the recently launched GIMP 2.8, Mozilla Firefox 12.0, Mozilla Thunderbird 12.0.1, and Adobe Flash Plugin 11.2.

The distribution also comes with a new system theme based on Radiance and Ambiance, which are found by default in Ubuntu, a new window border, integrated global appmenu, and a lot more others.
