A knowledgeable source has revealed that Apple is preparing to launch OS X Mavericks this month, no ifs or buts.

Allegedly corroborating one of its earlier reports, 9to5mac reveals that a source has indicated to the publication that “OS X Mavericks is currently scheduled to arrive on the Mac App Store within the last ten days of the month of October.”

Moreover, the source said Mavericks could have well been deployed to the masses by now, but some stubborn bugs caused the final launch to be delayed.

“Mavericks was supposed to reach GM status a few weeks ago, but critical bugs have kept pushing back the release,” the tipster claimed.

Apple this week seeded the Golden Master build of OS X Mavericks in what is a clear sign that development is coming to an end.
