This autumn, Apple will be offering an updated Calendar app in OS X Mavericks, the latest version of the company’s desktop operating system for Macintosh computers.

In OS X 10.9, Calendar allows for continuous scrolling. This makes the weeks and months flow smoothly, which means you can look at the second half of June and the first half of July.

The event inspector has been redesigned to create and edit events by suggesting addresses and points of interest. This happens the instant you start typing in text field.

The new Calendar pinpoints an event’s location on a map, and goes as far as to calculate travel time, and display a weather forecast, in case you need to take an umbrella with you.

OS X 10.9 Mavericks will be available this fall.
