If you have an Evernote subscription on your Mac you’re probably getting nagged every month to renew it. In OS X Mavericks, it’ll renew automatically.

On iOS, services that require a weekly, monthly or annual subscription can be set to renew automatically. It’s convenient for everyone, including developers and end-users. On the Mac, this convenience is not available. Yet.

This fall, when OS X Mavericks is finally released to the public, you’ll be able to manage your subscriptions right in the Mac App Store, and that includes setting a certain subscription to renew itself automatically.

Charges will be routed straight through the in-app purchase system which the App Store is famous for, and your iTunes account will be billed automatically each time a subscription expires.

Developers will see the same events in their backends with the ability to offer ongoing subscriptions and expiring subscriptions.
