Apple is offering the seventh beta of OS X 10.9.2 to developers today. The focus areas remain unchanged, while the seed notes don’t mention any known issues as far as we’re aware.

A developer enrolled with Apple tells us that the company started offering Mavericks 10.9.2 13C62 a few hours ago.

“This is a pre-release update to OS X Mavericks 10.9. Please refer to the seed note for more details and complete installation instructions,” the iPhone maker says on the Mac Dev Center, in usual manner.

This is the seventh beta in the Mavericks 10.9.2 development cycle, with focus areas like SMB2, Mail, Messages, Graphics Drivers, VoiceOver, and VPN.

There are no known issues with this build, according to a person who is familiar with the seed notes.

As usual, testers who already have the OS X Software Update Seed Configuration Utility installed can simply choose Software Update from the Apple menu and get the beta from Apple’s servers.

Testers who are downloading and installing a Mavericks beta for the first time must ensure that they are using a 64-bit, Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X v10.6.7 Snow Leopard or later with at least 8GB of free disk space to install OS X Mavericks and over 2GB of RAM.

Newcomers must log into their Apple Developer account and download the OS X Software Update Seed Configuration Utility before doing anything.

After running the installer, the Mac App Store will launch automatically, at which point the user must access Updates and the latest version of OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 should appear as available for download. Developers looking to create applications in Mavericks will need to use Xcode 5.0.1.

OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 doesn’t have a definitive public launch date, but the rapid succession of betas in recent weeks points to an imminent release by the end of this month.
