Maintain has just released a quick update for all users of the powerful system maintenance utility Cocktail. Version 6.3 adds full support for the upcoming OS X 10.8.3 (do they know something we don’t?) and other fixes and improvements.

Slated to be released sometime in the near future, OS X 10.8.3 is the third incremental update to Apple’s Mountain Lion operating system powering desktop and portable Macs worldwide.

Maintain thought Cocktail users should stay ahead of the curve, so they released an update today adding compatibility with the unreleased Mountain Lion iteration – OS X 10.8.3.

Other new additions include the ability to clear the Quarantine Events database, improvements to the Pilot scheduler, fixed compatibility issues with Opera 12, fixed problems with a -600 error, and a fixed issue where Cocktail failed to restart or shut down Macs. The new release also updates some Automator actions.
