The Pixelmator Team has put out a notice to all users of the company’s image manipulation program to download and install OS X 10.8.3. Any issues experienced under OS X 10.8.2 will be fixed if you install the latest update from Apple, says the team.

The developers behind Pixelmator have issued an update on their blog, which reads, “Since the release of the OS X 10.8.3 update last Thursday, we’ve been thoroughly testing Pixelmator on it.”

“We can finally confirm that Pixelmator’s biggest problem (caused by NVIDIA graphics card drivers) is now solved,” the company reveals.

The Pixelmator Team conveys a huge thank you to all the developers at NVIDIA and Apple for their efforts to squash the bugs affecting their app under previous versions of OS X.

Just to keep everyone in the loop, you don’t need to download a new version of Pixelmator in case you’ve been having issues. OS X 10.8.3 will be enough. But in case you need to download the app, you can find it at the second link below.

It’s also worth noting that OS X 10.8.3 itself delivers a number of new features and enhancements, such as the ability to redeem iTunes gift cards in the Mac App Store using your Mac's built-in camera.

The software also ships with a new version of Boot Camp which now supports Windows 8 (as well as Macs with a 3TB hard drive), and delivers Safari 6.0.3, an updated version of Apple’s web browser. Several fixes are also included (enumerated below).

- A fix for an issue that could cause a file URL to quit apps unexpectedly; - A fix for an issue that may cause Logic Pro to become unresponsive when using certain plug-ins; - A fix for an issue that may cause audio to stutter on 2011 iMacs.
