14 DAY TRIAL // Immediately after having announced the release of the fourth Beta of the forthcoming iOS 8.4 mobile operating system, Apple started seeding the fourth Public Beta and also the fifth Beta for developers of the upcoming OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite operating system.
Tagged as build 14E33b, OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite Beta 5 (Public Beta 4) is a pre-release version of the next OS X 10.10 Yosemite software update and it arrives approximately two weeks after the third Public Beta version and fourth Beta for developers.
The software update is now live in the App Store (see detailed information on how to install it below) for users who signed up for the OS X Beta Program. As usual, the new Beta comes without release notes, except for the usual line of text posted by Apple, where they state that the update is designed to improve the stability, security, and compatibility of your Mac computers.
Here's how to install or update to OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite Public Beta
If you're planning on switching to the Beta channel of OS X 10.10 Yosemite, you should know that you first need to sign up for Apple's OS X Beta Program, then log into App Store with the same account used for signing up on the Beta program. However, please try to keep in mind that you won't be able to return to OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite after the update.
Go to the Updates tab of the App Store app, wait for the OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 Public Beta 10.10.4 (14E33b) to appear on the list of updates, click on the "Update" button in front of the new OS X software update, and accept the license agreement.
Then click on the "Download & Restart" button on the pop-up window to start the update. After the download process, which will take a while, depending on your Internet connection, you must reboot your Mac to complete the update process.
