Chinese mobile phone maker OPPO is reportedly gearing up for the release of a successor to its OPPO N1 flagship handset, and the device appears to have already received certification in Indonesia under the name of OPPO N3.

For those out of the loop, we should note that OPPO N1 was made official in September last year with a 13-megapixel rotating camera, which also sports auto-focus capabilities and LED flash.

The new OPPO N3 was certified in Indonesia with support for FDD-LTE / TD-LTE / W-CDMA / GSM connectivity, which suggests that it might be launched only in China in the beginning, but that it might enjoy global availability.

No further details on the phone have been provided as of now, but a recent post on Blog Of Mobile suggests that it will indeed be released as the successor to last year’s flagship.

Should that happen, we might see the new device packing the same 13MP rotating camera, or even a larger one, yet nothing has been officially confirmed on the matter as of now.

However, chances are that OPPO will announce the new device before the end of the next month, one year after the original, so keep an eye on this space to learn more on the matter.
