After making the OPPO N1 mini smartphone official a couple of months ago, Chinese mobile phone maker OPPO is finally getting ready for the release of this device in India, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

No official info on when the new handset might arrive on shelves in the country has been provided as of now, but it seems that OPPO India is already teasing the handset as coming soon.

OPPO started selling its Android-based smartphones in the country several months ago, and has already registered success with them, which appears to have determined it to expand its portfolio.

The OPPO N1 mini will arrive on shelves with some appealing capabilities in the package, including a 13-megapixel rotating camera, which sports the Sony IMX214 stacked sensor, 6-element lens, an f/2.0 aperture, and LED flash.

The best part of the camera, however, is the fact that it is capable of snapping photos at 24 megapixels, and this is exactly what OPPO is currently teasing for it on its social media accounts in India.

One other thing that should be mentioned is the fact that this device is indeed smaller when compared to the original OPPO N1, but that it is much larger than many other smartphones out there.

OPPO N1 mini was announced with a 5-inch IPS touchscreen display capable of delivering an HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution, as well as with a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that also sports Adreno 305 graphics.

Moreover, the new mobile arrives on shelves with 2GB of RAM, which will certainly provide users with appealing performance capabilities. Users will also enjoy 16GB of internal memory with this device.

The specifications list of OPPO N1 mini also includes support for 4G LTE networks, as well as 3G capabilities. Additionally, it arrives on shelves with the usual WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity options, and with a built-in GPS receiver.

The handset is powered by a 2140mAh battery, is 9.2mm thick, and weighs 150 grams. It runs under OPPO’s own Color OS 1.4 platform, which is actually based on the Android operating system.

As fonearena notes, the OPPO N1 mini could be released in India in three color flavors, namely white, blue, and yellow.

Unfortunately, no specific info on when that might happen has been provided as of now, and details on the device’s pricing are missing as well. Hopefully, OPPO will reveal all on the matter soon, so keep an eye on this space to learn the news.
