Mobile phone users in India interested in the purchase of an OPPO N1 or OPPO R1 smartphone can now grab any of them at less than before.

The Chinese mobile phone maker has decided to slash the cost for both devices, so as to ensure that more users are attracted to them.

Following the change in price, the OPPO N1 is available for purchase in the country at only Rs. 32,990 ($548/€403). The smartphone was made available in India in January this year at Rs. 39,990 ($665/€488).

However, this is not the first price cut that the smartphone sees in India, as OPPO dropped it to only Rs. 37,990 ($631/€464) about two months ago.

As for the OPPO R1, which was made official in the country in early-May, it is now available at only Rs. 24,990 ($415/€305) down from the Rs. 26,990 ($448/€330) cost it featured before. Even so, the handset might still be a bit too expansive for its range.

According to AndroidOS, OPPO has also reiterated that the Find 7 smartphone will arrive in the country starting early July, with a price tag of Rs. 37,990 ($631/€464) attached to it.

At the moment, OPPO’s devices are available through the company in 20 cities in India, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Pune and Lucknow.

Apparently, the company is also set to make its phones available in the country through various retailers and channel partners, so as to ensure that more users have access to them.

For those out of the loop, we should note that OPPO N1 arrived on the market with a 5.9-inch full HD display, as well as with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor inside.

Moreover, the phone features 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a rotating 13-megapixel camera. Moreover, the handset is powered by a 3610mAh battery, while running under the company’s own Color OS, which is actually based on Android 4.2.

The OPPO R1, on the other hand, was released with a smaller, 5-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 720p resolution, while being powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor.

Additionally, the handset sports 1GB of RAM inside, along with 16GB of internal memory, and a 2410mAh battery.

On the back, the handset features an 8-megapixel camera, which is complemented by a 5MP front camera, both meant to ensure great imaging and video recording capabilities. The same as the OPPO N1, the mobile phone runs under Color OS.
