Today, Chinese mobile phone maker OPPO has officially announced the availability of two new devices on the market in India, in the form of OPPO Find 7 and Find 7a.

The company has unveiled the two handsets during a press event in New Delhi and has confirmed that they will arrive in India with all of the hardware specs already revealed for them.

The flagship Find 7 smartphone packs a 5.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, and it is the first handset with such a screen to be announced for the Indian market, as AndroidOS notes.

The mobile phone was made official in March with a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor inside, as well as with 3GB of RAM, complemented by 32GB of internal memory. A microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes is also present in the package.

Moreover, the handset arrives on the market with a 13-megapixel camera capable of shooting 50MP images due to a series of software tweaks, paired with a 5MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The device also offers support for 4G LTE networks, along with the usual set of connectivity capabilities, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery and runs under OPPO’s own Color OS, which is based on Android.

“For OPPO, a fusion of technology and affection has always been the essence of our product design and development,” Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO India, says.

“Find 7 will strike a chord with those life explorers who are ambitious, creative, daring, willing to try things and always in pursuit of high-quality life. Technology savvy customers will realize that OPPO Find 7 is a smartphone that will delight them every step on the way.”

The mobile phone maker has also unveiled that the Find 7 will become available for purchase in India starting July, with a price tag of Rs. 37,990 ($640/€473).

The Find 7a, on the other hand, arrives on shelves with about the same specs as the Find 7, but with a series of downgraded capabilities, such as the full HD screen, instead of the Quad HD one on the flagship.

Moreover, the mobile phone sports a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8974AB processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 2800mAh battery inside. It features a 13-megapixel camera on the back too.

The OPPO Find 7a has been announced as available in India starting today, June 11, with a price tag of Rs. 31,990 ($539/€398) attached to it.
