OLYMPUS has made available a new firmware package developed for its E-P5 digital camera, namely version 1.2, which changes the transfer mode settings for the compatible Eye-Fi memory cards.

The release consists of two download records compatible with the MAC platforms, as well as with all of Microsoft’s Windows operating systems (both bit-variants).

As for applying the firmware, the process is quite simple. Just run the downloadable file, connect the camera to the PC via a USB cable, and make sure you have a stable internet connection. The device might display a selection menu on its screen – choose either “Storage” or “PC.”

Now, click on the “Next” button, and from the dialog box, choose the latest version from the available ones, select “Update,” “Yes,” and then “Agree” to confirm that you want to upgrade your camera’s firmware.

At this point, the firmware file is transferred to the camera, and afterwards, it will be installed on the device. This process completes when the LCD displays the “OK” message, and until then, make sure you don’t interrupt it in any way, so that the device doesn’t encounter any problems.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your computer’s operating systems, and update the E-P5 digital camera.
