OCZ Technology Group, a worldwide leading provider of innovative, ultra-high performance and high reliability memory, has recently announced the release of its first Intel Extreme triple channel memory series. The new memory modules have been specifically designed for Intel's Core i7 processors and for its X58 Express chipset. Moreover, the memory kits feature optimizations for the chip's triple channel mode.

The new Intel Extreme triple channel memory series will arrive in 3GB and 6GB flavors. OCZ Technology has included Intel XMP profiles on the memory modules to offer performance enhancements for the X58 Chipset, while providing an ideal combination of low voltage requirements, speed, and instantaneous “out of the box” overclocking with the specialized profiles.

“Intel’s Core i7 architecture is superior in every possible way,” commented Dr. Michael Schuette, VP of Technology Development at OCZ Technology, “and the world’s best CPU deserves the world’s best memory as a complement. OCZ’s new Triple-Channel XMP kits are a perfect match for the Nehalem platform to unleash performance we could only dream of just a short time ago.”

The memory modules feature high-performance specification optimized and predefined for the Intel X58 chipset. The kits are rated at DDR3-1333 and include the new Intel branded black XTC heatspreader. OCZ said it was proud to be able to provide innovative memory series that come with all the advantages of Intel’s development of latest platforms.

The Intel Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP), a proprietary extension of SPD (Serial Presence Detect) settings, come as an integrated “plug and play” overclocking feature. Users are able to choose either the extreme or ultimate performance settings through a framework of predefined and validated optimizations, eliminating the hassle of manually adjusting each parameter. Aggressive latencies are configured on all kits, which also feature a second enthusiast profile allowing the modules to run at an even more aggressive balance of speed and timings.

The low voltage OCZ Triple Channel solutions have been developed mainly for enthusiasts and early-adopters and come as the choice of leading-edge performance that the functionality of Core i7 CPUs will benefit from. The modules have been tested in matched triplets, ensuring superior compatibility. The new OCZ XMP memory modules are backed by the industry-leading OCZ Lifetime Warranty and technical support, ensuring unparalleled peace of mind.
