OCZ showcased more than its fair share of novelty products at the 2011 CeBIT fair as the company's stand was full of soon to be released solid state disks, including a wide range of enterprise solutions that can go up to 8TB in capacity and use the company's proprietary HSDL interface.

Starting things off is the Vertex 3 SSD line, which was announced just the last week, and that has now received the addition of a series of new models in the 3.5-inch and 1.8-inch form factors.

These drives are based on the Sandforce 2582 controller, with some firmware tweaks, and, during the live demos that were held at the show, managed to achieve read transfer rates in excess of 550MBps.

Moving to the enterprise space, OCZ had to show a couple of PCI Express SSDs, just like the new Z-Drive R3 RM84 which uses a half height design and pairs a Sandforce 1565 controller with a PCI-E x8 connection.

The drive is capable of reaching read speeds of up to 1000MBps, pulls 135K IOPS and thanks to its low-profile form factor can fit inside slim rack mountable servers.

The second PCI Express SSD showcased by OCZ was the R3 RM88, that will read at 1.8GBps and write at 1.6GBps while delivering over 200K IOPS.

Next to these storage solutions, OCZ has also showcased its newly developed Ibis XL SSDs that start at 4TB, and can go up to 8TB in capacity, takes the form of a 5.25-inch drive, and connects to the system via the company's proprietary HSDL interface.

Four such SSDs can be connected via a single HSDL PCIe 8x card and they can also be chained together in a single RAID volume to form a 32TB RAID array. As far as performance is concerned, each XL is capable of 200K IOPS.

In addition to these solutions, the company has also presented the SAS-based Helios line and the Deneva2 enterprise drives. (via SemiAccurate)
