OCZ Technology has just announced that its Sabre OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) multimedia keyboard, which the company has showcased earlier this year at
CeBIT, in Germany, is now available for computer enthusiasts worldwide. The much-anticipated keyboard will be shipped with an intelligent management application that will provide users with the means by which they can customize the different features that have been enabled on the new product. According to OCZ, the new Sabre OLED keyboard comes as an ideal choice for both gamers and professionals looking to improve their gaming or productivity.
“The OCZ Sabre Keyboard offers the best of both worlds when it comes to OLED technology and a truly functional yet affordable gaming keyboard,” Eugene Chang, VP of product management at the OCZ Technology Group, commented. “With nine dedicated OLED keys, the Sabre is able to leverage both the infinite customization benefits of the technology with the reliability and feel of a high-quality gaming keyboard, making for the ultimate all-in-one solution.”
Measuring 522 x 182 x 31mm, the Sabre OLED weighs in at 2.7 lbs and provides users with driver support for both Windows XP and Vista 32-bit operating systems. The keyboard features a USB 2.0 interface, 103 keys and 128MB of on-board Flash memory. One of the main features of the new OCZ keyboard is that it will provide computer enthusiasts with nine dynamic, user-programmable OLED displays, enabling any digital image to be converted into an OLED key icon.
For those that like to stay on top and distinguish themselves from other PC users, the Sabre OLED keyboard, which OCZ claims to be “the world's most intelligent gaming keyboard,” has been featured with a Blue LED sidelighting effect. Unfortunately, OCZ hasn't delivered any details regarding the pricing of the new keyboard, although it claims it is affordable.
