OCZ Technology Group announced today that the company is on its way to expand the Intel Extreme Memory modules lineup. OCZ is a worldwide leader in innovative, ultra-high performance and high reliability memory and today, it ads to its portfolio the latest memory solution featuring the implementation
of a high-performance specification optimized and predefined for the Intel X38 and X48 chipsets. The new memory modules are rated at DDR3-1333 and DDR3-1600 and feature the latest Intel branded black XTC heat spreader.

The memory modules have been designed to bring a significant increase of the performance levels of the platform, as they feature Intel Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP), a proprietary extension of SPD (Serial Presence Detect) settings that performs as an integrated "plug and play" overclocking tool. The new OCZ DDR3 modules also feature an Extreme Memory Profile options that allows users to select between extreme and ultimate performance, by means of a framework of predefined and validated optimizations of individual settings without having to manually adjust each parameter, so timings, voltage, and speed boot automatically for maximum performance.

"We are proud to embrace Intel's XMP specifications in the new line-up of DDR3 modules," commented Dr. Michael Schuette, VP of Technology Development at OCZ Technology. "XMP-Ready memory allows safe booting of the system under any circumstances while maintaining the built-in overclocking features to bring out the ultimate performance of the entire system."

OCZ will make available four memory kits configured to Intel's defined specification. We will have two PC3-10666 / DDR3-1333 CL7-7-7 Dual Channel Kits, one 4GB (2x2GB) and one 2GB (2x1GB), and two PC3-12800 / DDR3-1600 CL7-7-7 Dual Channel Kits, again 4GB (2x2GB) and 2GB (2x1GB).

The kits are configured for aggressive latencies and offer a second enthusiastic profile which enables the modules to work at an even more aggressive balance of speed and timings. Each OCZ XMP memory module comes with the industry-leading OCZ Lifetime Warranty and is backed by technical support.
