OCZ has been working for a long time in order to release memories especially designed to work with SPP nForce SLI. Two products resulted, PC2-7200 SLI
and PC2-8500. The first will work at 900MHz, while the second one will hit 1066MHz.
OCZ has worked in close relation to Nvidia and final products are almost ready to be released. The guys from OCZ claim that they have tested the modules in several different scenarios in order to insure an almost perfect compatibility with nForce chipsets. The modules are designed to work with the new nForce 680i SLI as well as with older nForce 5 series for AM2.
So here we are, with the first SLI compatible DDR2 sticks, entering the arena of "SLI Ready" motherboards, PSUs and video cards. I wonder what will they come up with next?
Availability and pricing are unknown at the moment, since no one has actually seen the memory modules on the market. More products, from various manufacturers will also enter the SLI arena.
