One of the things that no one wants to say about products, good and bad, is that they are doomed to failure without appropriate marketing and supply chain reach. Knowing this, OCZ took steps to cement its status.

OCZ has been selling solid state drives and power supply units for a long time now, but it doesn't have the reach of companies like, say, Samsung.

What it does, however, possess is diligence. Enough that it has finally managed to gain a foothold in China.

The Chinese tend to make products that sell in other regions, but the past decade saw the level of demand from its own populace rise.

Until now, OCZ didn't have a way, not an easy one anyway, to sell its products in China. That has changed.

The company has made a deal with Joint Harvest, the country's leading distributor of IT and computer technology products.

"We are pleased to partner with Joint Harvest to support the growing high performance computing market in China," said Wayne Eisenberg, senior vice president of Global Sales, OCZ.

"Joint Harvest shares our commitment to provide customers with leading-edge solutions along with comprehensive support services, and we look forward to making our solid state drive and power management products more readily available to customers in this important region."

The deal involves OCZ's various solid state drives like Vector, Vertex, the workstation-class RevoDrive 3 PCIe models, etc.

As for PSUs, the Fatal1ty Gaming Series and the PC Power Silencer Mk III are the most famous right now.

"We are delighted to be appointed as a master distributor for OCZ's products in China," said Kelvin Ho, general manager, Joint Harvest.

"OCZ offers a wide range of differentiated high performance SSD and PSU products that are complementary to our current product portfolio and are ideal for our established customer base."
