Yet another advanced navigation mobile has been announced by Telefonica O2 Germany, the Xda Guide. Set to replace the older model, the Xda Orbit 2, this new version really makes the difference, by bringing in plenty of features that were lacking in the previous one.

This O2, besides supporting the GSM/EDGE/GPRS networks, also comes with HSDPA and HSUPA connectivity, which makes it one of the most appreciated mobile surfing phones. In addition, the device, which runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 OS, also comes with Opera Mobile 9.5 Browser and YouTube application, which further enhances the enjoyable experience it offers.

More so, by combining the Google Maps service, the Tom Tom navigator 7 application and the 3.2 Megapixel camera, plus the new footprint feature, users can send photos of their location, for example, including the location data. On top of that, the receivers can get all the required info regarding the data location sent to them simply by clicking on the photo. And that's not all, as users can preprogram their Xda Guide to create “panoramic view” of the information and the most interesting locations visited, the phone arranging the data by calculating the most visited and most photographed locations.

Since this is a navigation phone by excellence, the main focus point regards the Tom Tom navigator 7 and the Google Maps service, and we feel compelled to mention that the maps included are for Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Moreover, thanks to this great navigation system as well as to the intuitive TouchFlo interface, the Xda will probably be one of the easiest to operate and most reliable phones you've ever handled.

Furthermore, other features have been packed as well, such as the Bluetooth 2.0, an internal 256MB RAM memory and 512MB ROM memory, plus the 1GB card included, all of which run using the Qualcomm 528Mhz processor. To brighten up the view even more, the card kit and chargeable cable have also been counted in.

In case you have already started to fancy this O2 model, know that it has been set for release sometime in the middle of February 2009, but the pricing data has yet to be made public.
