Federal Commission of Communication (FCC) has just approved Gigabyte's new Pocket PC - XDA Stealth.

Its name comes from the fact that the device will be available through O2 carrier. The Stealth has a slider design and measures 110 x 53 x 22.5 mm and weighs around 150 grams. The Pocket PC features a 2.4 inch QVGA touchscreen, that supports 65k colors, Intel PXA 272 416MHz processor, 192MB ROM memory, 64MB RAM memory, miniSD slot for memory expansion, miniUSB, Bluetooth 1.2 connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, and a 2 megapixel camera with Flash and video recording capabilities.

The device runs Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. Users can input data using the stylus/touchscreen or the regular phone keypad, but don't plan to write too much because the device lacks the QWERTY keyboard. The Pocket PC is triband and works fine with 900/1800/1900 Mhz networks, but lacks the 850 Mhz compatibility, which makes its launch in USA impossible.

The phone is expected to be available for acquisition on the O2 network at the end of this month. There were no statements regarding its price yet, but we know that it will be available in Europe too.
