Nokia Lumia 930 is now available through a variety of retailers and wireless carriers in the UK, including O2, which has also revealed some of the features and enhancements that the device is set to receive in the not too distant future.

For starters, we should note that the mobile phone is currently listed on O2’s website with a price tag of £479.99 ($820/€606) attached to it on Pay As You Go, but that users will also be able to grab it for free on select monthly plans.

The phone is currently in stock and ready to ship to those who will order it, it seems. Moreover, it comes with a free wireless accessory bundle worth £130 ($222/€154), available with the purchase of the device until July 31, the carrier notes.

Nokia Lumia 930 arrives at O2 UK with support for the wireless operator’s 4G LTE, which should provide users with an appealing experience while on the go, that’s for sure.

However, given that it is much more expensive on PAYG when compared to what EE is currently asking for it, we can imagine that O2 will have to add some extra goodies to it in order to make it an attractive option for users in the country.

According to the Windows Phone 8.1 FAQ published on the wireless carrier’s website, such appealing features will indeed be available for its Nokia Lumia 930 users in the near future, as WMPoweruser has found out.

Thus, the smartphone will soon receive Visual Voicemail at the wireless carrier, O2 has revealed. In fact, it announced that the feature will be available for all Windows Phone 8.1 devices on its network.

“As a matter of fact, yes, and it will launch exclusively on O2. Visual Voicemail! Want it? You got it! We’ve been working closely with Nokia to implement this feature into our network and to get it enabled on devices via the new 8.1 update,” the carrier notes.

“This works similarly to how it does on an iPhone – when you receive a voicemail it is downloaded to your handset and gives you visual controls to play, pause and delete. No more calling 901/Voicemail for you.”

Handsets such as Nokia Lumia 520, 620, 625, 720, 820, 920, 925, 1020, and 1520 will receive the feature as part of the Lumia Cyan update, which should start arriving in a matter of weeks. The update will be delivered to Lumia 630, 635, and 930 as well, in order to enable Visual Voicemail, it seems.

According to O2 UK, Cortana will arrive on these devices sometime in the fourth quarter of the year, yet a specific release date for it hasn’t been provided.
