Wireless carrier O2 UK announced on Wednesday plans to add to its offering the innovative 7-inch Android-powered tablet PC from Samsung, the Galaxy Tab, which should land on the operator's network as soon as November 1st.

Running under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, the tablet PC sports a 1GHz application processor inside, and enough RAM and internal memory to fit the needs of any user.

Moreover, the new device comes with support for Adobe's Flash Player 10.1, so that users can benefit from a better Internet browsing experience.

“And with unlimited access to thousands of BT Openzone and The Cloud Wi-Fi hotspots built into all O2’s Mobile Broadband tariffs, customers will be able to use the Tab’s 7 inch touch screen to watch, surf and browse and to their heart’s content,” the wireless carrier announced.

With Galaxy Tab, users would find it easy to stay in touch with friends, as the device sports integrated Google services, as well as fast access to Facebook, not to mention Outlook calendar, and more.

With support for 3G networks, as well as for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, the new tablet PC should keep its users connected with their favorite services at all times.

Moreover, the slate comes with built in Google services like Google Maps and Google Maps Navigation, and with many others more.

“The Samsung Galaxy Tab, striking the ideal balance of portable size and power, is leading the way in a new category of devices,” said Steve Alder, O2 General Manager Devices:

“At O2 we love offering customers a range of experiences and the Tab, bringing together Samsung and Android technology, will let customers access their content in a whole new way.”

According to the wireless carrier, the new Samsung Galaxy Tab is expected to become available for purchase on its airwaves come November 1st via its stores, as well as on its website.

“The Tab can be purchased on all O2 Mobile Broadband tariffs and selected voice tariffs. Full pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab on O2 will be available before launch.” the operator added.
