People in the UK have now the possibility to use the Palm Treo Pro on the O2 network. It seems that the largest mobile carrier in Great Britain added the device to its online shop, and it is offering the Treo Pro to business customers even for free, depending on different data plans. The official Web site of the carrier displays 12, 18, 24 and 36-month plans available for the purchase of the handset.

The Palm Treo Pro comes to users featuring Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional Edition, high-speed mobile Internet, WiFi, GPS and a 2MP camera that sports 8x digital zoom and video capture. Moreover, the smartphone is said to be the thinnest Palm handset ever created, as it measures only 114 x 60 x 13.4 mm and it weighs no more than 133g.

The Palm Treo Pro is a device that provides users with an easy way to keep personal life and work in a good balance. It includes email support, Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel. In addition, it also offers options to manage calendar, contacts and emails as well as to open and view attachments. Internet connectivity is offered via Internet Explorer and an instant-on Wi-Fi button.

Moreover, the handset also comes with a full keyboard, not to mention GPS with turn-by-turn navigation, which also allows users to pinpoint their location with local searches. The Palm Treo Pro features a 320 x 320 touchscreen display, 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM and it supports microSDHC cards of up to 32GB.

This Windows Mobile device has been announced, upon launch, to come unlocked and to feature support for HSDPA cell radio (tri-band UMTS, quad-band GSM). As many of you might already know, the smartphone sells for around $549 in the United States, while in Europe it costs from €399 to nothing, depending on the contract.
