The carrier will have the new device available for purchase starting September

Lumia 1020, the latest Windows Phone 8 smartphone from Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia and the first in the series of arrive on shelves with a 41-megapixel photo snapper on the back, will be released in the UK on the network of wireless carrier O2 as well.

The phone has already been confirmed for another wireless carrier, Three, and is expected to become available for purchase before the end of the third quarter of the year, although no official details on its release date have been provided as of now.

O2 has told ZDNet that the new mobile phone is expected to be in stock starting September, which falls in line with the previous rumors on the matter, which suggested that Telefonica, O2’s parent company, would launch the phone in two months.
