O2 is the third UK-based carrier that confirms the release of one or more BlackBerry 7 smartphones this year.

According to its recently posted tweet, O2 UK will release the BlackBerry Bold 9900, as well as the Torch 9810 and 9860, at some point this year.

Oooh, some nice new Blackberry devices announced today. Looking forward to the 9900, 9860 and 9810 coming to O2 later this year...”

However, the carrier does not mention any release dates of pricing options for neither devices, but we can assume that at least of the three will be launched this month, while the rest will follow soon.

The same strategy was adopted by Vodafone and Three UK who are releasing one BlackBerry 7 device in August and scheduled the rest for September.

It looks like O2 UK wishes to satisfy all customers by releasing the full range of BlackBerry 7 smartphone.

Although all three are powered by BlackBerry 7 and features a single core 1.2 GHz processor, they can be easily differentiated due to their appearance.

While the Torch 9810 is a slider with full QWERTY keyboard, the rightful successor of the Torch 9800, the Torch 9860 is a full touch device that lacks the usual physical keyboard.

The Bold 9900 is the only one that can be considered a true BlackBerry device, as it features RIM's standard design with portrait QWERTY keyboard.

Furthermore, each of the three smartphones packs 8 GB of internal storage, 768 MB RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

In addition, they sport a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, image stabilization and HD video recording capabilities.

More importantly, they come with NFC (Near Field Communication) support, as well as HSDPA (14.4Mbps) and HSUPA technology.

Other highlights of the phones include proximity sensor for auto turn-off, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP connectivity, as well as GPS with A-GPS support.
