Finally

I have to say that when I first saw this piece of news (and it was about an hour ago) it really made my day. And if you're one of the guys who just bought a G80 card and then realized that you can't run it under Windows Vista because you don't have the proper driver, you would be glad too. Especially because you know that Nvidia has readied the drivers and keeps them hidden. Don't you just love the word "leak"?

However, before you start searching the web for download locations, please pay attention to the following info regarding these beta drivers. First, let me say that both the x32 and the x64 versions are available for download and have the same 100.30 version. However, these drivers are leaked and you should treat them as a beta release and not as a fully functional driver. They will enable Vista support for G80 devices but several features won't work.

Among the unavailable features are: PowerMizer, Resolution, TV control and Overlay tabs available in ForceWare Control Panel, and bear in mind that the Control Panel of the driver will react very slow. However, the beta drivers do come with Rotate Page, Colour Page, Display Config page, 3D and Image Settings. As I've said, no one knows how well they perform but that's for you to find out. Since currently there are several locations on many websites where you can download them, I recommend a Google search. Or you could check Softpedia's drivers section. You can direcly download the drivers here and here.

And another thing. At the moment, no DirectX 10 compatible games exist so you will only be able to run Nvidia's demos in DirectX 10 mode. Image quality may improve with the coming of the final driver. Enjoy!
