Here's one nice piece of news for all those people who own laptops equipped with Nvidia-powered graphic cards: new display drivers dubbed 301.24 Beta are officially available.

The 301.24 beta drivers have been developed to comply with the specifications of all ION notebook GPUs, but will also work with Quadro-NVS, Quadro-FX, NVS and 8M, 9M, 100M, 200M, 300M, 400M and 500M series.

Nvidia's acclaimed GPU GTX 680 receives support for its mobile version once the 301.24 beta display driver is installed, and users can take full advantage of the new SMX architecture.

GeForce 400 and 500 series performance will increase after installing this beta driver and users should expect a noticeable boost with a lot of gaming titles, compared to that offered by the 296.1 driver. GeForce GTX 560/ 560 Ti cards will also deliver better performance with the new driver.

This one also brings better anti-aliasing thanks to the FXAA technology, better Adaptive Vertical Sync, Frame Rate Target and enhanced surround audio. At the same time, installing the 301.24 beta will update the SLI and 3D Vision profiles list.
