Nvidia doesn’t enjoy too much share on the mobile processors market, but it does strive to gain more of it, and is slowly managing to do so.

The reason for that is simple: its processors are packed inside highly appealing devices that can provide users with a nice range of features and capabilities.

The recently unveiled HTC One X+ is one such example, promising users not only better performance levels courtesy of a faster application processor, but also improved battery life and more.

On top of that, the new smartphone comes with the same 8.9mm thin body as its One X predecessor, while also offering support for LTE connectivity, two more reasons to see it as a far better phone.

“When it comes to mobile devices, there’s no such thing as being too thin, too powerful or having too much battery life,” Nvidia notes.

The company also explains that the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor included in this smartphone comes with a high-performance, 4-PLUS-1 quad-core architecture, and that it also features a unique 5th battery-saver core.

This is the first Tegra 3-powered LTE smartphone that arrives in the United States, while also running under the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, which makes it even more appealing, the company notes.

“So how does the HTC One X+ one-up the competition? It’s all about the internals,” Nvidia states in a recent blog post.

“The new Tegra 3 silicon cranks up the dial marked “performance” with a 1.7 GHz CPU and faster graphics. Onboard storage gets bumped up to 64GB and battery capacity increases to 2100 mAh.”

Overall, the new HTC One X+ is up to 67 percent faster than HTC One X before it, and is capable of offering up to 50 percent more talk time, which means 6 more hours to chat with friends and family.

The multitasking works faster on this device, the same as page loading times when browsing the Internet. The phone’s camera, which makes use of the Dedicated HTC ImageChip, is also snappier than in previous models.

On top of that, there are the various mobile games that users will find in the TegraZone, and which would deliver a great visual experience on the new One X+, that’s for sure.
