User can download the new Nvidia Display Driver 304.51 from Softpedia

Nvidia announced yesterday, September 24th, the immediate availability for download of the 304.51 version of its graphics driver for Linux, Solaris and FreeBSD operating systems.

Nvidia continues to significantly improve their Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris drivers by releasing massive updates.

This latest version made available, 304.51, may not be as consistent as some of the previous ones, but still carries a lot of weight. Be careful Nvidia, Linux users might get spoiled with all this attention.

Highlights of Nvidia Display Driver 304.51:

• Support for the new Quadro Sync board for Quadro Kepler GPUs has been added. For more details, users should check "Configuring Frame Lock and Genlock" in the Readme file; • An X server crash on X.Org xserver 1.13, when it is compiled without support for DRI2, has been fixed; • A regression that broke color controls on older X servers has been repaired; • A bug that caused the display layout area of the Nvidia-settings control panel to be show incorrectly has been fixed; • Gamma ramp and colormap adjustments now apply correctly; • A bug that caused the X server to sometimes hang in response to input events has been fixed; • A reduction in rendering performance for core X11 rendering on certain GPUs that occurred in the 290.series of releases, has been repaired; • FXAA with Unified Back Buffers is now enabled; • Users can now access the "Reset Hardware Defaults" button in the Display Settings.
