Nvidia launched a new certified driver just a couple of days ago, for the usual platforms, but today, an ARM version has appeared in the same branch.
There was no official announcement for the introduction of a driver, for the ARM architecture, and everyone has been caught by surprise.
Everything from the GeForce 8 upwards is supported, along with the newly released GeForce GTX 760 and GeForce 720M.
It’s true that there isn’t a real demand for this type of driver yet, but it’s nice to see Nvidia trying to stay ahead of the curve.
The company’s track record, up until a year ago, hasn’t been commendable. Being yelled at by Linus Torvalds probably acted like a kick in the rear.
In any case, if you have an ARM processor and an Nvidia video card, you can download the new Linux 32-bit ARM 319.32 driver from Softpedia.
