14 DAY TRIAL // Whoever said that CES was all business and no fun surely hasn't visited Nvidia booth this year, as the company has what can only be described as the ultimate computer ever built, packing together a 15.5 gallon beer keg and a liquid cooled GeForce GTX gaming PC.
Designed together with the Sierra Nevada Brewing company and two computer modders, the KEGputer, as Nvidia likes to call it, is a fully functional beer dispenser paired together with a powerful water-cooled PC.
Although the specs of the enclosed PC are nothing short of amazing, the most interesting part about the KEGputer is its beer delivery system that can hold about 40 beers at a time and comes with its own refrigeration unit and in-line CO2 pump.
The beer dispenser is refilled via a 2.5 gallon mini keg that is housed in the top part of the case, the water-cooled gaming PC being installed at the bottom of the KEGputer.
According to Nvidia, the KEGputer “can pour ice-cold beer without the need of pesky beer pumps or giant tubs of ice.”
Moving on to the PC housed inside the keg case, we find an Asus P67 motherboard paired together with an Intel Core i7 2600 3.4GHz Sandy Bridge processor and 8GB of DDR3 Crucial Ballistix RAM modules clocked at 1600MHz.
The graphics power is provided by two EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Hydro Copper graphics cards in SLI while the storage need are met by a 160GB Crucial SSD.
The whole system is powered by an Antec 1200W TruePower Quattro PSU, is chilled by a custom made Danger Den liquid cooling solution and Nvidia has connected it to three monitors in a portrait orientation.
