Nuvola Player, an application that is actually a web interface for cloud music services in its own window that provides integration with a Linux desktop, is now at version 2.3.1.

Nuvola Player provides instant access to the music, shows notifications with currently playing song, uses the MPRIS interface, has docking capabilities, and integrates into the Unity launcher.

The novelty of this new media player is that it's not using the local library, but it's built to take advantage of the new trend, which is cloud-hosted music. There are a lot of services out there which, for a measly price, will provide all the music that you will ever need.

The developers have been updating the Nuvola Player constantly, and the latest build takes care of some issues. According to the devs, the Google Play settings are now applied instantly, a few crashes that were occurring due to the JavaScript implementation have been fixed, a broken feature that was used to hide the Google+ button has been ditched entirely, and it's now possible to pause the action on Google Play.

Check the changelog for a complete list of new features, and download Nuvola Player 2.3.0 right now from the official website.
