A dating sim for Dragon Age universe creatures

Traditionally, April Fools is not a great day to be a video game fan or to surf the Internet for news because a lot of information that's designed to be believable emerges just to be later denied by the companies.

BioWare has already delivered some content for Dragon Age: Inquisition fans, introducing a new unbelievable companion for the multiplayer side of the game. The company has also more quietly introduced something called NugElope, and this is one of those ideas that are so weird that a lot of players will probably be ready to actually try them.

It's basically a life sim for the nugs, the animals that any fan of the series will recognize, and more than 470 of the characters are supposed to be included.

BioWare states on the official site, "Form deep, lasting bonds with a rich and flavorful cast. Learn the tenderness of love in breathtaking scenes of nug passion… and then experience the capriciousness of life as your companions are wiped out with little to no explanation by the cruelty of nature."

The studio claims that NugElope will use Frostbite 3 but will be mostly focused on conversations with other characters and on trying to find love and mate for life.

The game is clearly inspired by dating sims and is completely outside the genres that BioWare traditionally works with, which would make it even more interesting to see what the studio would be able to do with it.

The focus is on Dragon Age and on Mass Effect

Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely (but a fan can hope) that the development team will have the time to create NugElope, given that it has so many big projects running at the moment.

More downloadable content is probably already in development for Dragon Age: Inquisition, given the way the community has welcomed the recently delivered Jaws of Hakkon. A new patch is at the moment ready for the testing phase, for which players can sign up.

BioWare is also working on a new Mass Effect title, which will not be related to the already launched trilogy and will probably only be detailed much later in the year, if not in 2016.

A Star Wars-related project is also being created by the studio and might be officially revealed during E3 2015, probably set to accompany the launch of one of the new movies linked to the franchise.
